Some already have homes and names you didn't know; others are strays who could use a hand. LogACat helps you tell them apart and keep track of them together.
That's what this site is for. It's a place to enjoy cats together as a community — to tag a sighting, leave a comment like "I know him, too! I call him Acorn" and share that tiny spark of joy that comes from noticing them.
It's also a way to gently turn love into care: helping neighbors coordinate, supporting TNR efforts, and looking out for the community cats so fewer are left behind.

A little about how this works: recognizing the same cat across sightings from different people, angles, and lighting is genuinely hard — so we let AI do the heavy lifting. By reading a cat's coat pattern, color, fur length, and overall visual similarity, it helps connect each new photo to a cat already on the map.
